Scarab jewelry was popular throughout the 19th century, and enjoyed a resurgence early in the 20th century, when the Egyptian Revival was, itself, revived after the opening of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. Egyptian themes, like the scarab, quickly became a staple of the Art Deco period. Fittingly, the scarab represents rebirth.

This colorful scarab necklace features twelve carved scarabs, each made from a different stone set in luscious 14 karat yellow gold. Usually, vintage scarab jewelry of this style consists of rings and bracelets. A necklace is a rare find indeed! Perfect for that pop of color needed to add interest to your everyday look!
