An ancient coin or medallion has been encased in a silver flip mount. In researching this piece, we believe it to be a 7th century Northern France coin or possibly a monogrammed medallion which was later made into a ring, probably during the Victorian Era. Purchased from the estate of an antique jewelry collector, it fits comfortably on a size 7 finger, and can also be flipped to wear as a pendant from a ribbon or chain. A wonderful, mysterious piece and a must-have for any serious antique jewelry collector!
