A stone believed to aid in new beginnings, Moonstone is also attributed with inner growth and emotional stability. connected with intuition and femininity, it has been admired for centuries, with a surge in popularity during the late Victorian and early Edwardian Era, when celestial jewelry became all the rage.

Persian turquoise was very popular among Victorians. It was brought to Europe via Turkey, and called “Pierre Turquoise” (Turkish Stone) by the French. It is harder than American turquoise, and  has a pure blue color with no matrix, which was desirable in the Victorian Era. Queen Victoria was very fond of the stone, gifting her bridesmaids with pieces which included it, which added to its popularity. In many cultures, it is said to bring protection, health, prosperity and love. Some wore it to ward off the Evil Eye.

Moonstones and Persian turquoise stones make a unique combination on this intriguing ring. Crafted in silver, it has three moonstone cabochons set vertically, the center one surrounded by bright aqua Persian turquoise. A delightfully Bohemian ring, perfect for wearing to your next Friday night seance!
