Antique 14K Gold Watch Chain

  • Sale
  • Regular price $2,600.00

The main use of the watch chain was to simply ensure the security of the pocket watch. The pocket watch emerged in the 17th Century and the style grew in popularity when Charles II popularized the waistcoat in 1675. By the Victorian Era, most men sported these decorative yet practical contraptions. The fob helped to add a counterweight so the chain wouldn't be pulled by the heavier watch, while the bar or large spring ring served to secure the chain through the gentleman's buttonhole.

Crafted in luscious 14 karat rose gold, this hefty watch chain is the perfect way to show off your favorite charms and fobs! With a large and small spring ring and a dog clip, there is plenty of room to add fun treasures. Wear it as a watch chain, or use it to lengthen another chain in your collection!
