"The Blue Stud"

Estate 18K & Lapis Lazuli Ring

  • Sale
  • Regular price $1,295.00

This stone's two-part name comes from two different cultures: lapis is a Latin word meaning "stone," while lazuli comes from the Persian word lazhuward meaning "blue." In ancient times Lapis Lazuli was most highly regarded because of its beautiful color and the valuable ultramarine dye derived from it. It is rock formed by multiple minerals, mostly Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite and Pyrite, and is a rich medium to royal blue with gold flecks (pyrites). In both Egypt and Persia, the stone was associated with the night sky, and was a highly prized jewel of Kings and Queens.

It is associated with wisdom and knowledge, and is said to aid writers, performers and leaders if they wear it while pursuing their dreams.

With four stud prongs holding the face of the deep blue lapis stone, this unisex signet style ring will be your go-to for every day wear, and take you into the night with style!
