Anchor jewelry became very popular during the Victorian Era, for more than one reason. In Christianity, the anchor symbolizes hope, a subject the devout Victorians cherished. Also during the era, the shipping industry was booming, and the British Royal Navy was duly admired and supported by the populace.

This wonderful nautical anchor clip is crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and silver, with seed pearls dotted throughout the setting, like sea foam bubbling from the depths! At one time, there was a pin that has been lost at sea, but the openwork structure allows for a ribbon to be threaded through to wear as a necklace. Or, the clip can secure it to your belt. Any way you wear it, you'll love the jaunty "Ahoys!" you receive!
