The era we now know as “Art Deco” received its moniker from the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. Emphasis was placed on the association of art and modern industry. The style was also utilized in architecture, where rectangular blocky forms were often arranged in a geometric fashion, then broken up by curved ornamental elements. But always the aim was a monolithic appearance with applied decorative motifs. It was especially successful in apartment buildings and skyscrapers.

This wonderful Art Deco ring has beautiful filigree work in white gold with a central faceted amethyst stone at the center. Embellished with a bright green and blue enamel 'frame', it is also decorated with yellow gold on the ring top. A colorful and perfect representation of an enduring era, she's perfect for day and night!
