The era we now know as "Art Deco" received its name from the Exposition International des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. The style embraced a cleaner line and more geometric shapes than seen in the past.  Emphasis was placed on the relationship between art and modern industry.

Cocktail rings became popular during the Prohibition Era, in the 1920s. Worn as a luxurious rebellion, women would deck themselves out,  showing off large sparkling gems while they sipped their drinks at the speakeasy and parties where Prohibition was ignored.

This Deco ring would have been the perfect accessory for a night on the town! With large, warmly hued citrine as the focal point, it is supported by beautiful white gold filigree work, and set in a structured yellow gold bezel adorned with autumnal leaf motifs at the shoulders. A gorgeous ring, ready for you to slip on your finger and step back in time, becoming the life of the party, the toast of the town, the 'It Girl' of your generation!
