The Fraternal Order of Eagles was founded in Seattle Washington by several theater owners who agreed to have no ill will toward each other, despite fierce competition. Originally dubbed "The Order of Good Things", it was later named after the country's national bird. The organization has campaigned for and contributed to the recognition of Mother's Day, supported children's hospitals, and founded relief funds, among many other causes. Still in existence today, it boasts several dignitaries and entertainers as members, both past and present.

This hand carved eagle fob, aged to a creamy patina, is embellished with 14 karat gold initials: FOE, and a shield motif. Originally worn on a watch chain by a former member of the Eagles, this nicely carved fellow will be just perfect to wear grouped with other charms and fobs on a "Neck Mess"! A wonderful little bit of Americana, he is ready to soar into your collection!
