The Victorians adored fanciful bejeweled insects, using them to decorate their apparel and even their parasols! The trend has never gone out of style, and other noted eras have produced wonderful pieces depicting insects. During the middle of the 20th century, jewelers revived Victorian styles, and this little beetle brooch is a product of their ingenuity and craftspersonship!

With a body and legs of gleaming14 karat yellow gold, our adorable brooch has glossy black enamel wings with two spots of mother of pearl on them. The area between wings and head has a row of glittering diamonds, dressing this little lady up for all sorts of fancy occasions!
