Originally an antique button from the Georgian era, this pendant came to us already converted. The printed image of a well-coiffed and beautifully styled lady has been hand colored and set in gilt over silver, with a high quality marcasite halo. We have added a generous 14 karat gold bale for easier access to your favorite chain. The original button back is missing, providing an open locket back, perfect for a pressed rosebud or lock of hair. These buttons were typically made in Paris and adorned the capes and cloaks of all the most fashionable ladies. A wonderful piece commemorating a lavish little slice of life, and sure to become a favorite in your collection!
