This ring began its life as a stick pin. Victorian gentlemen often wore pins at the knot of their cravats. Our fine fellow has an intaglio carving into the hard stone bearing the monogram of the original owner. A curious configuration of letters makes a visually arresting design. Other than an 'E', it is difficult to determine exactly what initials are carved into the face of the piece, so we will just say it belonged to an 'Earl.'!
