Shield bracelets were popular during the mid-twentieth century, and were purchased as souvenirs when traveling. Each country had its own representative shields which were lined up like small flags on the bracelet. This one has a gold-tone finish and enameled shields. With lion and crown motifs, it has a very royal feel. It may be of French origin due to the fleur-de-lis motif. This is a fun bracelet to wear layered with others, and looks great paired with jeans.
