Garnets were considered stones of strength to the Victorians, who used them in jewelry quite frequently after the kingdom of Bohemia began mining for the gem and trade became more widespread.
Converted from a brooch into a ring, this piece has a deep red cabochon garnet surrounded by 14 small garnets, set in 9 karat gold. The shank is a replica of an antique in 14 karat gold, and we are thrilled with the results! The bezel surrounding the center stone is matched perfectly with the gold detailing on the shoulders of the shank. It's a great pairing of elements, giving the garnets a whole new life! It's a wonderful and dramatic ring full of the mystery and beauty that garnets are so admired for!
