This wonderful Victorian pendant, possibly a mourning or half-mourning piece, features a smooth oval disc of black glass with an 18 karat gold and silver rose in the center, punctuated by a diamond. Two diamonds, two paste diamonds, three red paste stones and a ruby are set on little starbursts and dispersed in the ornate gold framework, with silver set behind the diamonds, as was the fashion among jewelers of the Georgian and Victorian era. Stunning to wear on a chain or a ribbon, it incorporates our favorite color (Black!), which never goes out of style!
