Pale colored amethysts are sometimes called “Rose de France” and are often seen set in Victorian jewelry. The amethyst owes its fabled color to trace amounts of manganese and iron. This large and lovely lilac-colored gem is surrounded by 16 pearls set in 14 karat gold. Originally a Victorian brooch circa 1880, we converted it into a ring using a Victorian reproduction shank of 14K Gold.
