Two bold pink tourmalines join with a singular, luscious pearl, in the face of this beautiful antique French ring. The pink tourmalines are held in milgrain-detailed bezel settings, while the pearl is partially-drill-set into a closed-back setting. The ring head and shank are made of a rich, stark platinum, and sunny 14k yellow gold. This lovely, elegant French ring would make a fine addition to any collection.
Materials and Features:
- Pink tourmaline
- Platinum face
- 14k yellow gold body and shank [hallmarked for fineness]
Age/Origin: Estimated early 19th century, antique; bears contemporary hallmarks. After careful consideration, we have determined that the piece was likely re-stamped in Paris, with the proper platinum and gold marks, since, up until more recent years, jewelry could not legally be sold in France without the proper gold and platinum fineness assay marks.
