Founded in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, Chi Omega is the largest women’s fraternal organization in the world with over 380,000 initiates, 181 collegiate chapters, and 247 alumnae chapters. Chi Omega’s symbol is the owl, a bird of wisdom, which reminds the membership of their responsibility to strive for knowledge and understanding throughout life. The skull & crossbones refers to the vow that once initiated, members are sisters until death. The nickname of the sorority is “Chi-O”.
This ring, converted from a sorority pin, has some amazing detail! We are loving the skull and crossbones, as well as the tiny owl. Both have been executed in black enamel that is perfectly intact!
